Up until taking this pisture, I had never connected with the events of 9/11. It's often hard to connect with anything disasterous when you live in Minnesota, nothing drastic ever happens here. Its all so surreal sometimes I choose not to believe in the outside world, and that makes life a little easier to digest.

Sometimes though, when I'm travelling, I see things that bring it all rushing back. This rose, put into the wall around ground zero, brought me back to earth with a rather unplesant *bump*. I'm not sure what cosmic Karmic flush we got when planes started flying into buildings one day, but I'm sure it wasn't the right way to solve a problem.

The rose may have been a rememberance for someone, but I like to think of it as a mark of healing. This war business the country bussies itself with hopefully will stop soon, and the hatred will give way to a little healing. We could all do with a little more love in the world.
